Sunny Fungcap was born and mostly raised in New York City. She writes self-help nonfiction, and as a hobby, has written lyrics for vocal artists. Sunny Fungcap is also the co-author of the manuscript, Integration strategy for e-ICU: A Narrative Review and Implementation Plan in the Journal of Telemedicine and e-health. Her work as digital strategy and healthcare technology consultant has been very rewarding.

 

As a mom and self-help author, Sunny has also been featured in Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine, and was invited to speak at local radio talk shows and IGTV channels to offer her take on single moms increasing opportunities to live her dreams regardless of race, color, creed, or circumstance. In a unique and inspiring way, she continues to write, not just for the single mom, but all humans to help them achieve the best version of themselves.

Sunny has worked in the healthcare arena as a nonprofit leader, workshop facilitator, project manager, and a clinical IT SME within several top NYC healthcare institutions. This has enabled her to work directly with Inpatient and Outpatient specialty providers within the OBGYN, and Wellness departments to improve digital health and patient care for women. She has also been an advocate of holistic health and has been a champion of innovative patient centered technology such as Telehealth/ehealth in such times when access to healthcare is limited, but crucial. She is currently working to help improve patient access to care internationally by way of digital technology/Telemedicine.

In previous endeavors Sunny has worked as a Certified Clinical Hypnotist and Lifestyle & Wellness Coach. She earned a Master’s in Public Administration, concentrating on nonprofit management and educational studies and is currently pursuing a second Master in ehealth Management part time to improve her skills.  Just for fun, under her stage name, Sunny performed on stage as professional singer for several years both in NYC and Atlanta. While learning and building her skills, Sunny raised her daughter, Olivia, who has grown to enjoy and embrace all that life has to offer. Furthermore, through the practicing of guiding principles outlined in her work, along with her using the experience in early childhood, she continues to promote empowering lifestyle changes to improve overall wellness among women and single moms everywhere.
